PC Setup and Assistance
Buying a new computer can be confusing. What brand has the best record of reliability and support? What particular model will best meet your computing needs? What software applications do you need? What about all the uneeded or unwanted sample applications that come preinstalled? How do you set it up once you get it home? Will you be able to find your installation CDs if you need them in the future?
New Computer Setup
At Alternavion, we can help can help take the uncertainty out of buying a new PC. We will work with you to determine which hardware and software best meets your needs, set up and organize the computer in your home, and make sure all software and security updates are installed and properly configured. For only $99.95, our standard PC Setup package includes the following:
- Perform initial setup of computer (including monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, and printer)
- Configure existing Internet connection and 1 existing email account
- Install and configure Microsoft updates (requires Internet connection)
- Remove unwanted icons and trial software
- Install and configure 1 software application
- Set up user accounts and access controls
- Consolidate warranty cards, installation media, etc.

PC Assistance
Have questions about using your PC? Need help learning your way around Microsoft Office or another software application? Alternavision can provide custom tailored assistance in the comfort of your own home for only $70 per hour (1/2 hour minimum billing period). We also offer flat rate fees for the follwing services:
- Hardware Installation - $60. Install and configure 1 PC component, such as a DVD drive, hard drive, printer, scanner, or video card. Hardware not included.
- Memory Installation - $50. Increase the performance of your PC with more RAM. Hardware not included.
- Software Installation - $50. Install and configure 1 software title, and add desktop, start menu, and Launch Bar shortcuts. Software not included.
- Security Suite Installation - $60. Install and configure antivirus, anti spyware, firewall, and configure security settings of web browser. Software not included.
- Operating System Installation - $175. Upgrade your PC to the latest version of Windows, install and configure Microsoft updates, reinstall drivers and software. Software not included.
